Video: What Sugar Does To Your Cells (Scientific Proof)

The answer really depends on your current health, and health goals. There are also different types of sugars; refined sugar, artificial sugar, fruit sugar, honey, grain sugar, coconut sugar etc.

Let’s look at some facts about sugar:

  • Sugar is acidic and feeds disease

  • Sugar burns out the thyroid & damages the kidneys

  • Sugar depletes and wears out the adrenal glands

  • Sugar spikes insulin (leading to diabetes & obesity)

  • Sugar destroys the immune system

  • Sugar causes inflammation which leads to disease

  • Sugar destroys beneficial gut bacteria

If you are healthy Ex)not on any medications, have no sicknesses or chronic health problems, then your body can probably handle small amounts of sugar each day and still remain healthy. Just one “healthy” yogurt or snack bar and your quota of 15-20mg of sugar per day will be met.

If you are NOT healthy Ex)taking medications, have any chronic health condition, feel sick, tired, any pain, etc, and you want to get your health back, you really cannot afford to have any sugar at all until you are healthy again. I know that’s not what you want to hear. But the truth is, sugar is probably what got you into this mess to begin with. People want to say it’s a genetics problem, but the truth is, we have a donut problem. We just don’t want to admit it.

Other Sugars

Even though chips, pasta, bread, crackers, and flour list low levels of sugar, don’t be fooled. they all turn into sugar FAST and spike insulin. This is why I don’t rely on counting grams. Instead I focus my energy and attention on eating real food.

All the best to your health!
