I am all about finding the truth especially when there is confusion. And believe me there is a lot of confusion about cooking oils.

So I recently asked my niece Rachel Andorfer, scientist and founder of The Essential Girl, to put together a chart for me that showed which oils are best to cook with at different heats and for different lengths of time. She whipped it up over night and I was REALLY surprised at how misled we are!!


Additional Tips:

  • Avoid refined oils and vegetable oils. They are processed with chemicals, at high heat, and cause inflammation in the body whether you cook with them or not.

  • Drizzle healthy oils on your food after you cook it.
