Many of you have been inquiring asking for a healthy bread. Unfortunately store bought bread, even gluten free, contains sugar, yeast, and flour, lacking nutrients and fiber, and not very healthy at all.

This buckwheat chia seed recipe contains no sugar, no flour, and no yeast. It’s high in fiber, protein, nutrients, and it’s even candida friendly!

  • 1 cup buckwheat groats
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Soak the buckwheat in plenty of water overnight, or at least 2 hours. Strain after soaking.
Place chia seeds in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of water. Allow to sit for 30 minutes until it’s a gel.
Place all ingredients plus an extra 1/2 cup of water in a food processor or blender and combine until almost smooth, but still a little bit chunky.
Transfer to a baking dish lined with parchment paper and bake at 320F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Try to wait until bread is cool before slicing.

Serving Tip:

The bread alone is a bit bland. But it’s very tasty with coconut butter spread 🙂
